[The cursive that appears on the page is almost unbearably precise.]I am seeking advice with regards to broaching sensitive matters with an acquaintance recently arrived in this world.
There is a certain topic I and my fellows have decided to keep from this person, for the sake of their own well being. However, as many of us have experienced, such secrets are unlikely to remain hidden in a realm where our inner thoughts are broadcast in such ways as through the lanterns and
[...... these damn bubbles and petals.] other phenomena.
The topic in question is highly personal and may cause my acquaintance harm, which is why I would like to find a way to lessen such an impact. I may leave out details in any further explanation for the sake of their protection.
[... there. That's a step. That will probably get some helpful answers, right?]

I'm so sorry if you saw that. Please try to not dwell on it.

Warning: Descriptions of death (specifically: falling/burning, stabbing, freezing, drowning) and the crippling fear that comes with that.
( like is any of this for real–or not? )[ Back in the comparative comforts of her home, Susato awakes with a start. She gasps for breath like she's just been held underwater, sitting up and gripping at her blankets. For all she knows, they are her lifeline. She is shaking, the faded memories of dreamscapes past rushing back to her, and she feels her arm knock something off the bed she's on.
......All she can do is breathe. ]
(( ooc: tl;dr, just a fun throwback to the fun deaths i've been able to put her through this past year. <3 please assume delayed responses where appropriate/etc. ))

Subject: Songerein Archives and Wikki Initiative
It has come to my attention that there is a critical lack of easily accessible information on Songerein itself. While I appreciate the contributions of those who have already shared their experiences over the journals, much of it is contained to private channels or simply too difficult to find again once enough time has passed (the newly awakened might not even know that one can flip back further than seems possible). This makes our information fragmented, which is no help if we are to better arm ourselves with knowledge to fight back against Nightmare.
I've taken the initiative to secure a spot for a physical archive building by the river near the Tree of Stories. This will serve as a central location for factual information on Songerein, where all of us dreamwalkers can submit information that everyone can freely access.
We need information on everything. If that sounds too broad, then here is a basic list:
A history of Songerein and Reverein, how the realm has evolved, ESPECIALLY from those of the first wave of awakened (there is no guarantee they will be here forever, and their input is invaluable as their experiences cannot be replicated).
A directory of shops and other establishments in Reverein, when certain districts were added, from what worlds the shopowners hail, etc.
Dreamshifts. What it feels like, what sort of experiences you've had, etc. While we can view past dreamshifts at the observatory now, it is no replacement for living through the event as it was happening.
Dreamotion energy. How it is created, how it manifests, effects, applicable uses.
Dreamwalking. I urge you to reference Ira's inquiry.
Noctaere. Both foreign entities created entirely out of nightmare energy and those who have been corrupted by Nightmare. Their weaknesses, effective countermeasures, etc.
Nightmare energy. What it feels like, how it manifests, etc.
The Story Eater. I also urge you to reference Emet-Selch's inquiry.
The wildlands. Maps (even outdated ones - how they've changed is also crucial information), flora, fauna.
The wastelands. Same as above.
Any relevant information from your home realm you feel might be applicable.
If you do not wish your authorship to be known, then you are welcome to submit information anonymously. I realize that this is a barrier when it comes to sharing over journals (I am aware an anonymous function exists, but not everyone will).
Only by working together can we protect ourselves against the Nightmare and the noctaere. Only from a solid factual basis can we start synthesizing theories and putting in place actionable plans.
I've named this initiative after Noble Prize-winning Priory Scholar Wikki, who went through similar efforts to document Tyria in meticulous detail. As Marshal of the Pact, I see her work as a key endeavor in uniting our people. I can only hope the same for Songerein.

(( ooc: Your character can wander over to the new archive building to pick up a pen and paper to write their own wiki archive entry! Any entry submitted will be accessible to anyone living in Songerein, where it will hopefully remain forever. Trahearne thanks you sincerely for your contribution! ♥ ))

It's okay, he'll adapt.]Just between uz, saw a man throw a shoe directly at another fella! Straight from the ground to a treehouse and it knocked the guy clean over! Everyone talkin' about these dreamotion abilities, but I witnessed with my very eyes how effective a shoe can be.
Maybe we should all start practicin' that move. But if you wanna tell me an effective alternative, I got me eyes open. Ya know, in case I run outta shoes.( action post with him tackling some treehouse pruning )

[The following is written in slanted, elegant script, almost painfully neat— the mark of someone who takes great pride in their penmanship and thinks such things ought to leave a good impression.]These journals we've been provided are truly remarkable. The ability to share written information without any delay is certainly possible where I come from, but such technology is limited to a comparatively small number of people, rather than accessible to all. The opportunities these offer are near endless, especially if they are truly available to all who find themselves here.
I'll admit, I also find the handwritten aspect of them to be quite charming. It offers the personal touch of sending a written letter without the inconvenience of having to wait for it to be delivered.
This entry is largely to see firsthand how the journals work and facilitate communication, but in the interest of the latter, I do have a question. For those who have already begun to develop their 'dreamotion' abilities, how have they expressed themselves? Do you find that they manifest in a way that reflects your personality or evoke something otherwise meaningful to you? I am quite curious to hear how this may vary between individuals.
Thank you for your time.

[The writing is hurried, a cursive that just manages to be legible. In his rush, his usual formalities are cut short. The message is more important than the form it takes.]There is a demon in the wilderness — a bestial man. Powerful and violent, able to heal itself in an instant. Anyone unable to defend themselves should avoid the woods until
[until what? It's killed? If there's any shred of the man still in there, he can't condone that.] further notice.
[Is that a drop of blood on the page? Eh, it's fine.]It was Kazuma Asogi. I don't understand it, but I wasn't able to reason with him and he became this thing before my eyes.
[After a moment, he adds:]He cannot be left like this.

Songerein—
A dream world born from the clash of three different universes. One world produced emotion energy, a byproduct created when one's emotions manifested into a more tangible force. Another produced dream energy, a byproduct of one's dreams that allowed one to view and traverse through them. Both worlds produced so much excess energy they were diverted into an empty universe and happened to collide, producing a new, strange world made up of a new source, dreamotion energy. It remained a barren wasteland until a tear through the dimensions appeared and the concepts of fairy tales poured through. Magic, creatures, environments—they were all dumped in a central location and life began to form. But were they real? Or just figments of what they used to be? Regardless, this giant clash has created a unique world filled with unlimited possibilities.
But of course, a clash of this size would have some side effects. The dream energy in particular remains volatile and continues to seep out with its innate ability to connect to any dream in any world. If there is a strong enough resonance between the dreamer and dream energy, a version of the dreamer, a dream self, is formed and pulled into Songerein while the original body remains in their world safe, unharmed, and unaware of what's going on. Only after accumulating enough dreamotion energy can the dream self "wake up" and leave Songerein to return to its original body, all its experiences felt like a strange, long dream.
Fortunately, Songerein is relatively...peaceful. It's a brand new world after all with only the fairy tale creatures and the dream selves, or dreamwalkers as they are officially called, pulled from other worlds as its denizens. There may be times the different energies become unstable, but it only creates a slight disturbance that eventually settles. Still, the constant connecting and reconnecting through the dream energy means that different things are randomly pulled in and disappear from the world. Those who have decided to make Songerein their home want to build onto it by using the ability to traverse through dreams to their advantage. By creating dreamshifts, they can create giant dreamscapes based on other worlds that large groups of dreamwalkers can enter and bring back concepts to be used in Songerein. Beginning with fairy tales, dreamwalkers could also form dreamshifts based on their own home worlds to bring in something from there. As a bonus, this uses the excess dreamotion energy within the world, helping stabilize it.
So, what kind of world will Songerein become? Just remember…
Where there are dreams, there are also nightmares.
Songerein is a panfandom game based on the following three former games: Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales. At its core it is a worldbuilding game with adventure and character development. Player and character action will be what decides what is brought into Songerein, be it for good or ill. Although it's expected for players to be able to create their own fun and not rely solely on the mods, Songerein is billed to be more of a relaxed game for everyone to have fun in.
